The sequel to 2016's episodic Hitman sees Agent 47 and his trusty handler Diana working together to uncover the deadly Shadow Client and eliminate a variety of targets in creative ways. From sun-drenched streets to dark and risky rainforests, nowhere is safe from the world's most creative assassin, Agent 47. Sniper Assassin is available to play now as an early access bonus for consumers who preorder the Standard, Gold, or Collector's Edition. Hitman 2 will also feature a co-op mode called Sniper Assassin that allows two friends to team up and take out specific targets online, which should boost engagement.
One of the most notable things to come from this announcement is that Hitman 2 will not be released episodically like its predecessor.
HITMAN 2 will release on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on November 13. IO Interactive is planning to continue with their live content, including the returning contract mode and new gameplay modes planned at and after launch. HITMAN 2 brings you 6 brand new sandbox locations to plan out the flawless assassination. Interactive Entertainment President David Haddad, who talked about the new partnership with IO Interactive. The Silver Edition will also get the first Expansion for Hitman 2 included, which adds a whole new location, missions, sniper map, outfits and weapons.
