It'll be available to download directly after Apple's WWDC keynote from the face gallery on the iPhone's Watch companion app. But for now, look for Apple to continue to push the Watch as a health and fitness device and introduce new features.
The company also announced a new version of the Apple TV operating system. Apple also revealed a new Pride Watch face which users can activate for free, and a Pride Edition Woven Nylon band which can be bought for $49. In the same way, watchOS 5 can detect when you've stopped working out, taking a lot of the hassle out of tracking.

The yoga workout feature primarily tracks the user's heart rate, but the hiking workout is more robust, including metrics for things like elevations and pace. Developers and members of the public should exercise caution when installing the new beta, as initial watchOS releases have tended to be unstable and dramatic in battery drain before settling later in the testing cycle. Pick which friend you want to talk to, and if they approve the one-time Walkie Talkie permission, you'll be able to do instant voice communication. Your friend will feel a light vibration on the wrist and a beep before hearing your voice come in - kind of like a real Walkie-Talkie. That's a hurdle that kept the watch from being useful for listening to audio, and Apple just made it possible. Now, you'll be able to play your favorite podcasts without having your phone with you. Alerts about flights will now let you check in, and Uber alerts will let you pay for trips with Apple Pay. It is envisioned as a flexible system for using the Apple Watch in place of a student ID card for many activities and access throughout a campus. Johns Hopkins University, Santa Clara University and Temple University will bring the capability by the end of the year. A simple wrist raise does the trick - just start talking. A new feature for developers allows music, audiobooks and meditation sessions from apps such as Pandora, Audible and 10% Happier to be synced to Apple Watch for playback offline without the user's iPhone nearby. It will support Shortcuts that were announced for iOS 12, and you'll also be able to finally include third-party apps to the face.
