Battle Royale has quickly proven that being first to market does not always translate into big sales.
In March alone, "Fortnite" players around the world spent $223 million across all platforms, up a whopping 73% from February. As Season 3 comes to a close, and Season 4 looms ever closer, we're wondering if EPIC will actually go through with destroying Tilted Towers, which is what everyone is expecting to happen.
It's been some time since Fortnite players have been trying to figure out what that meteor in the sky means and is there an event incoming. Plus the shooter bested PUBG on PC and hit the top revenue spot on iOS in the United States. The account claims that Fortnite Switch will likely be a part of Nintendo's E3 2018 showcase, where the game will be fully revealed.
Videos have surface from numerous players showing flying objects coming down from the sky and exploding on impact on the Battle Royale map, but it is unclear what exactly they are doing - if anything. The map has been updated with TVs broadcasting a test platform and Tilted Towers has become littered with signs on sticks warning of the impact and possible UFOs.
Putting two and two together, it looks like the meteor crash is coming! That seems to be the case, and with all of the hype now surrounding the premiere of Avengers: Infinity War, it makes a lot of sense that Epic would go with a superhero theme.
The image seems to show what looks like a superhero - perhaps suggesting a new type of cosmetic item being launched alongside Fortnite Season 4.
