Milwaukee struggled to get into a rhythm against the aggressive switching defense of the Celtics. Boston made 53.1 percent of its field-goal attempts in first quarter during the first two games at home, but were held to 20.9 percent in the opening 12 minutes in Games 3 and 4 in Milwaukee.
"It feels good", he said. "I felt like the crowd fed off of it, we fed off of it, and it's just good to have him back".
With what we have witnessed throughout the regular season and so far this postseason, here are three reasons I believe Jaylen Brown is a superstar in the making. "If me shooting the ball is helping us, I want to continue to do that". Smart hadn't played in about six weeks after tearing a ligament in his right thumb, but was a clear difference-maker for the Celtics in Game 5.
This means the last time a team was this hot from the field after four playoff games, Boston still had its "Big Three" of Larry Bird, Kevin McHale and Robert Parish, Los Angeles was running its "Showtime" offense behind Magic Johnson, Byron Scott and James Worthy and the National Basketball Association still had a best-of-5 decide its first-round matchups. Bledsoe has since responded by saying "Who?" whenever he's asked about Rozier. "I was just trying to be aggressive". "It gets tougher every game". "It's an honor when you see young talent. We've all seen him before".
Prior to Game 1, Brown did his best to prepare Tatum for what was to come, but nothing compares to the actual experience. "He's had a lot more opportunity and he's done well with it. (Sunday) he really came out and played really well".
Game 6 will take place on Thursday in Milwaukee. "Jayson has been incredible, and his learning curve has been expedited with people being out, people being hurt, things like that".
Yet, while each of the rotation players has had his moments in the first four games, none have had as many big moments when the team has needed them most than Brown. The Celtics found Brown for a corner triple, and both Horford and Smart earned trips to the line before Brown canned another triple to push the lead back to 11. "Got to protect our house".
"When you've got a guy like KG in your corner talking to you, giving you tips on your game, and coming to work out with you. he's one of the best players that's ever played the game", Middleton said.
The Celtics, on the other hand, have never lost a series they led 2-0, winning all 35 times going into their current situations. I do expect a bounce back game from Klay Thompson and I think Iggy will help them a lot control the tempo of this game in Oakland.
Obviously Smart's slot in the lineup played a huge factor in that, but it was a total team effort from all nine guys who saw the court.
