The update introduces a new "Battery Health" feature that's created to provide iOS users with more information about their batteries, and it is a function Apple promised to introduce following backlash over the power management features added to older iPhones, Mac Rumours reported. The latest iOS update also has new features to show battery health of an iPhone or iPad and recommend if a battery needs to be serviced. You can also disable Apple's controversial throttling feature which slows down performance on phones with older batteries.
For augmented reality, iOS 11.3 adds vertical surfaces such as doors and walls to the horizontal surfaces that are already in use within AR apps that use ARKit. It also provides health of handset battery.
For the enterprise, one of the key features is Business Chat, which allows businesses to directly communicate with users in the Messages app, an Apple press release said.
Users will also be able to view their own health records within the Health app, depending on the information participating health institutions have shared, and receive updates from test results, conditions and changes in medication. Under the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which goes into effect in May, companies will have to clearly inform users of the data they're collecting and how it will be used. The new battery health option is rolling out to iPhone 6 and later models.
