Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, claimed in the CBS 60 Minutes interview on Sunday that she was threatened with physical violence after she first attempted to go public with the story by a man who told her: "Leave Trump alone".
Daniels, who has appeared at the club in the past, is expected to perform in the evening and hold a meet-and-greet with fans after. Running for president, Mr. Trump jiu-jitsued facts that would have ended other candidacies into selling points. She said he pulled down his trousers and she spanked him in a joking manner. She said she asked, "Does this normally work for you?"
On Monday, Cohen's attorney, Brent H. Blakely, denied that Cohen had anything to do with the threat.
Monday, Daniels added Cohen as a defendant in a lawsuit, originally filed on March 6, 2018, that argues a "hush" agreement between Trump and Daniels is invalid because Trump did not sign the document. Melania, The Apprentice alum, and their son, Barron, spent time at the Mar-a-Lago resort before Donald flew back to the White House - an hour before Stormy's interview with host Anderson Cooper started.
He also said the White House did not believe she was threatened into silence on the issue. The mother-of-one's 60 Minutes episode came on the heels of In Touch publishing a 5,000-word interview recounting their alleged tryst.
Daniels made it clear that she wasn't impressed, and told him that someone should take the magazine and spank him with it.
Cohen has denied Daniels' claims but admitted to making the payment. Her tour, after all, is called "Make American Horny Again".
She was on her way to a fitness class with her child when an unknown man approached her, according to a transcript of the interview released on Sunday. "It'd be a shame if something happened to her mom".
Daniels also detailed her efforts to talk about the affair publicly.
"Yes, I'm getting more job offers now, but tell me one person who would turn down a job offer making more than they've been making, doing the same thing that they've always done", she said.
Stormy Daniels: Because they made it sound like I had no choice.
And in an unrelated case, a NY state Supreme Court judge ruled recently that a defamation case involving the president and a former contestant on The Apprentice who claims he sexually harassed her can move forward in state court, as NPR's Vanessa Romo reported.
Previously, Cohen has said neither the Trump Organization nor the Trump campaign was a party to the transaction with Daniels and he was not reimbursed for the payment.
When asked about Daniels' charge that she was pressured into signing a false statement, her former attorney, Keith Davidson, responded in a statement to CNN: "I do not believe that the assertions in Ms. Daniels' 60 Minutes interview represent a fair and accurate description of the situation".
As for Daniels' comments on the matter, she told Cooper last night that she was not physically attracted to Trump at all and did not want to have a physical relationship with him, but also asserted she is "not a victim".
Daniels said she was fine saying nothing at all.
