Now, those who have yet to see the film can witness the reason for those accolades when it returns to theaters, free of charge, for President's Day.
To celebrate one year since the movie's release in theaters, select AMC locations will offer free Presidents' Day screenings of the film, which is nominated for multiple Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Director for Jordan Peele. You can head to the official #GetOutOneYearLater promotional website to find the participating theater closest to you. The screening is at 7 p.m. Get Out was 2017's surprise sleeper hit, racking up awards in a way that's pretty unusual for a classic horror flick. "The success of his stunning vision would not have been possible without the audience's passion for both 'Get Out's groundbreaking storytelling and its deft use of art as society's mirror".
Tickets for the screenings, which will take place at 7 p.m. around the country, "will be available on a first-come, first-served basis and may only be picked up at the AMC box office that day", according to AMC.
A special thank you from the man himself. Guests must present valid ID. You get to enjoy a free screening of Get Out this President's Day'. It's scary-meets-social-commentary and happens to have four Academy Award nominations.
While most awards-nominated films are released during the final three months of the year, Get Out is still getting some well-deserved recognition nearly a year later.
