SuRie got a teeny, tiny white puppy for Christmas 2017What song did SuRie perform on Eurovision: You Decide?
SuRie - real name Susanna Cork - was announced as the victor of Eurovision You Decide during a live event in Brighton on Wednesday (February 7), which was broadcast on BBC Two.
Speaking about her previous Eurovision experiences a few weeks ago, she said: "My eyes were opened to the beauty of Eurovision a couple of years ago and I was working with the Belgians, so false flagging for a different country, but I had an incredible time".
Cork has also performed for royalty, singing for the Prince of Wales as a child soloist, while in recent years she has provided backing vocals for artists including Chris Martin and Will Young.
She appeared as a backing singer for Belgium's Loic Nottet during the Eurovision Song Contest in 2015.
Making use of her piano skills, the ballad builds into a dancy pop song, although this isn't one of the singer's own tracks - it was written by Nicole Blair, Gil Lewis and Sean Hargreaves.
Just 900,000 viewers tuned in across the 90 minute show, down on 2017's 1.3 million where Lucie Jones was chosen as the UK's act.
SuRie follows in the footsteps of last year's Eurovision: You Decide victor Lucie Jones, who placed 15th in last year's contest with 111 points, the UK's highest placing since 2011.
