No need to share the phone number or bank account number with Tez Cash Mode sends or receives funds to/from accounts nearby. Tez is Google's payment app for India, which uses the UPI interface to connect to a user's bank account and for transactions. Apart from English, Tez supports Indian languages such as Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Kannada, Tamil and Telegu.
For making this app safe, Google has added a multi-layered security and Tez Shield.

As expected, Google has today announced the launch of its digital payments application in India, named Google Tez. This basically means, you account will be your "wallet", similar to your bank debit cards.

Merchants and traders can also make use of the app by simply linking it with their bank accounts but before doing so, they have to show their interest by applying for the service. In its case, Google calls this feature 'Cash Mode.' Bring two phones near each other, hit pay or request, enter your UPI PIN and the payment goes instantly from one bank account to another, Google said in a press release on Monday.
Moreover, it supports over 50 UPI enabled banks, UPI which is India's official Digital payment method. Named as "Tez", this is a mobile wallet that links to your bank account and helps in easy, instant, and secure digital money transfer. Businesses can integrate their own Business channels and get payments directly from customers. Finally, there is an option to pay by using the phone number. Google has partnered with four banks - Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and State Bank of India (SBI). After that, the bank may charge fees or impose additional requirements. Interestingly, these offers do not require you to apply any code during any transaction.
