The local Red Cross also has at least two volunteers working virtually in a call center to help connect Harvey victims with resources. Trailers full of shelter supplies including cots and blankets - enough to support more than 20,000 people - are scheduled to arrive in Texas.
Northwest Ohio's American Red Cross chapter is already on scene, contributing more than 10 volunteers and three vehicles to relief efforts as of Sunday afternoon.
More than 570 people have posted their requests for help on the page - requesting food, rides, volunteers for clean-up crews and the like.
Hurricane Harvey has weakened to a tropical storm, but continued to drench the Gulf Coast and the worst still might not be over in Texas. The storm made landfall late Friday as a powerful Category 4 hurricane.
Apple this weekend has started accepting donations via the iTunes Store for Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.
"Right now the best thing people can do is donate money", said Katrina Farmer, director of American Red Cross offices in San Angelo, Abilene and Wichita Falls, Texas cities far from the coastline.
Nathan DeVault with the American Red Cross National Capital Region said about 18 volunteers have been deployed to either Texas or Louisiana. "We're there to provide it", another volunteer said.
"If this storm does what they are predicting, which is just sit in the area and dump rain, it is going to be catastrophic flooding. When they need the most help and they have no idea who to reach out to".
