Chinese handset maker Coolpad on Sunday launched its newest gaming smartphone "Coolpad Cool Play 6" for the Indian market. The smartphone, which was launched in China back in May, has been priced at Rs and will go on open sale via exclusive via Amazon from 4th September onward. The Coolpad Cool M7 design has the resemblance of iPhone.
Coming to optics, the Coolpad Cool M7 bears a 12-megapixel Sony IMX362 rear camera sensor tagged with f/1.8 aperture, and dual-tone LED flash. What we think Going by our first impressions, we think that the Coolpad Cool Play 6 is a pretty decent smartphone. It is powered by a 64 bit 1.95GHz Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 Processor with 6GB of RAM.
Speaking of its specifications, Cool Play 6 sports a a 5.5-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Apart from that, the device features Wi-Fi 802.11 up to the dual band ac standard, Bluetooth v.4.1, A-GPS.
Cool Play 6 will undoubtedly face stiff competition from the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A which is expected to launch tomorrow alongside the premium Redmi Note 5 handset. The smartphone runs Android 7.1.1 with Journey UI and packs 64GB of internal storage which can be expandable via a microSD card.
It has 4000 mAh, non-removable Li-Po battery with a standby time up to 300 hours, with support for USB Type-C reversible connector and Dual SIM (Nano), the company said. The power button with volume rocker keys is placed on the right side of the mobile.
Coolpad Cool Play 6 comes with the latest Android 7.1 Nougat running out of the box.
Connectivity options of the new Coolpad Cool M7 include 4G/LTE, as well as Hybrid Dual SIM, Wifi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, together with Global Positioning System, and a USB Type C port. Keeping the lights on is a sensible 3,200mAh battery. The Cool Play 6 will come with dual-SIM support although it is not known if the tray is of a hybrid type, the device is compatible with 4G bands (including VoLTE). This is very similar to the dual camera implementation found on Huawei smartphone like the Honor 6X.
