Currently, seven women have defamation suits pending in MA, while three more have defamation or sexual battery suits pending in California.
If convicted, Cosby faces up to 10 years in prison on three counts of aggravated indecent assault.
With the jury still deliberating, Keshia said she will accept the outcome of the trial, but would not confirm that a guilty verdict would change her opinion of "Mr. Cosby".
Inside the courtroom: A smiling Andrea Constand arrived in the courtroom at 9 a.m. for the second question. Cosby has pleaded not guilty in the Constand case, and has repeatedly denied allegations of wrongdoing made against him, as wel.
Constand testified last week that she did not recall knowing the woman. He further said that, in her first interview, she claimed to have never been alone with his client before the alleged attack, but later contradicted that statement saying that she spent time alone at his home before the alleged assault at a CT casino resort.
Wyatt said Cosby's spirits were up and he had confidence in the jury.
"This court has not given (Cosby) a fair and impartial trial", Wyatt said.
Jurors asked for testimony about a detective's interview with Cosby in early 2005. Constand's lawyer says Jackson isn't being truthful.
"You do not try your case on the courthouse steps", Troiani said.
Inside, four other women who have accused Cosby of sexual assault sat waiting near the courtroom where the trial unfolded. The comedian said in depositions that he gave her the common allergy medication Benadryl - calling the pills her "friends" without disclosing their substance - and insisted the encounter was consensual.
Cosby testified under oath more than a decade ago as part of her civil suit against him.
Initially expected to last two weeks, closing arguments were reached in less than a day on June 12 after Cosby's lawyers failed to offer up any witnesses to speak in the actor's defense (as previously stated, Cosby himself also chose not to testify). In clear and firm statements, she said Cosby, a powerful Temple alum, mentored her and took an interest in her career like a father figure. "I am not stopped". He says the encounter was consensual.
Jurors have deliberated some 21 hours since getting the case Monday. But there were inconsistencies used by the defence to undermine Constand's credibility-details of the evening; Constand telling police she'd never been alone with Cosby before. Constand - an athletic, 6-foot-tall basketball staffer - believes it was something stronger, saying they made her overly exhausted and unable to say no to or fight his advances. He said he touched the skin of her midriff and then moved his hand inside her trousers down to an area he called "the orifice".
Nonetheless, the comedian whose storytelling artistry fueled a $400 million fortune went quiet Monday when he had the chance to take the stand. Only Constand's claims are recent enough to have led to criminal charges. The testimony, unsealed in 2015 at the request of The Associated Press, wasn't pretty coming from the beloved TV dad.
The defense had tried repeatedly since Cosby's December 30, 2015, arrest to have the case shut down, saying the charges were filed too late and the accusers were after money. He told the jurors they had the written charge in their possession. They said the accusers were after money. They were chosen in Pittsburgh and bused 300 miles to suburban Philadelphia, where they are sequestered until the trial's end.
And all along, they said Constand was a willing romantic partner.
"This isn't talking to a trustee".
McMonagle said that the truth should not be ignored. I can empathize with, if not completely understand, Pulliam's stance, I guess.
"It won't change the love because when you have family, people falter, people make mistakes, things happen, but in no way is that condoning sexual assault", she continued.
